On January 8, 2026, EyeC Optometry hosted an intimate and educational Dry Eye & RF Treatment Workshop at our Story Road location in San Jose. The event brought together both new and existing patients for a warm, interactive experience focused on understanding dry eye disease and exploring advanced, non-invasive treatment options.
Held in a relaxed clinical setting, the workshop allowed patients not only to listen and learn—but to see, feel, and experience the technology that is changing how dry eye is treated today.

A New Way of Understanding Dry Eye Disease
Led by Dr. Dean Le, OD, the workshop covered key topics many patients had never heard explained so clearly before, including:
Why dry eye is often not just about tears
How Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) plays a major role
Why overusing eye drops may temporarily relieve symptoms—but not fix the root cause
How advanced technology helps us diagnose instead of guessing
Led by Dr. Dean Le, OD, the workshop covered key topics many patients had never heard explained so clearly before, including:
Interactive Q&A: Real Questions, Real Answers
One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was the active discussion. Patients asked thoughtful questions such as:
“Why do my eyes feel dry even when they don’t look red?”
“If eye drops don’t work long-term, what actually does?”
“Is RF or IPL painful?”
“How many treatments do I really need?”
“Can this help if I wear contact lenses?”
These questions opened the door for deeper education—allowing Dr. Le to explain how RF and IPL treatments address inflammation, oil gland dysfunction, and chronic dryness at the source, not just the symptoms.

Patients were able to view their own dry eye scans on screen and receive immediate explanations from our team. Seeing the condition of their glands and tear film helped turn abstract symptoms into clear visual understanding.

Patients also had the opportunity to try RF treatments themselves during live demonstrations. Many were surprised by how comfortable and relaxing the treatment felt. Common reactions included:
